Have a look at my route – it is marked on the map. I didn’t cycle into Ketama itself. The Rif mountains were beautiful – I encountered very little hassle. I don’t think you will have any problems.

I’m planning a bike trip alone from Fez to Spain. What was your route through the Rif? Did you pass through Ketama and if so did you notice any hazards beside the usual harassment? I’d love to bike those mountains but I’m a little nervous from reports and would love some first hand accounts. Thanks

Pity about not having time to see around Fez. It is one of the most incredible cities that exist still. How long for? Who knows…
