Sure you know this, but only a 3-day Mauritania visa is available at the border, extentions are possible but possibly not until the capital (too far to ride in 3 days). A Mauri visa in Rabat (Morocco) is valid for 1 month but it seems they start ticking as soon as you buy it...but that should still give you enough time unless you plan to explore inland Mauri. Sure you know this, but only a 3-day Mauritania visa is available at the border, extentions are possible but possibly not until the capital (too far to ride in 3 days).
