Glad to see you back on the road. Just a comment on your blog. Since it is not a commercial travel blog to entice tourism, the style and content of you blog is just as it should be - what YOU experience from your personal point of view. It contains a lot of valuable information that travellers like myself crave. It is comments like YOURS that encourage ME to visit, travel and have adventures in any particular country/environment. Keep on keeping on. You are doing very well.

Thanks Jim, I've never been to Indonesia, but am sure its filled with colourful photographic scenes. I think to read up a little on the places you are going and having an idea on what you want to take pictures of is a good start. Don't be afraid to ask people to take pictures. And give yourself time to compose shots if you are walking around. Sorry - I realise that is more than just one piece of advice, which would I guess be having confidence in yourself.

You've really got a way with pictures that capture the flavor of places and people ... if you were to give one piece of advice to a novice photographer who is about to travel (to Indonesia), what would it be?

I simply loved the text, the photos and the narrative conteny.
My grand-daughter Claire was in Sengal 3 years ago at the tender age of 22. She loved it and had no bad experiences that we ever hear of.
I will pass this site on to her and she will be thrilled, particularly since she kkows Jon's parents as do I.
Best wishe.
